Our Businesses
It takes guts to start a business, guts to stay the course and guts to put yourself in a programme like Creative HQ.
This is not a passing commitment. Its a partnership, and if everything goes to plan a partnership that will create wealth, jobs and success.
Over the coming year we aim to incubate around 30 businesses and over the next three years aim to scale to incubate over 60 businesses a year.
These targets aren't "pie in the sky" though, we've thought carefully about where they might come from and how we will successfully deliver to help drive their growth.
Despite our lofty targets we still rigorously assess businesses prior to them being accepted into Creative HQ. This is a huge investment for us - financially and emotionally.
Our current businesses represent those that we believe are worth the investment. There are several others not shown here that are working on other milestones prior to coming in or are in the assessment process.
Our alumni businesses are growing by 40% per annum. In the 2008-2009 financial year their combined economic value generated was over $45m and they created 104 new jobs in the Wellington region the same year.
