SpectioNZ Technologies is a clean tech company specialising in the conversion of organic waste into products of value, energy being one such product. Our innovation is bringing together two existing technologies providing a process at a scale economic to some of the smaller waste treatment facilities in New Zealand.
This platform technology forms the base with its modular design providing opportunities for processing various waste streams and the potential to develop many valuable and useful products.
Our process is fully contained and portable so could potentially provide waste to energy systems for remote locations especially in developing countries where access to power is limited.
We are in the process of building a pilot plant in partnership with two local councils and progressing other business relationships to further develop the technology.
1.5 million tonnes of organic waste goes to landfill annually in New Zealand...our target is to not only divert that waste from landfill but convert it into products of value to local communities.
