You will share your vision, hurdles and successes with an exclusive crop of talented, driven entrepreneurs whose companies are on the same challenging journey as yours. You will work through a methodical incubation programme that will refine your idea. We will help you build and fund a plan for success, establish the foundations for growth, then help you go to market in New Zealand and offshore.
What does it take?
Creative HQ is looking for stellar business opportunities with global potential. Businesses that have the potential to grow to $10m+ within five years. Our target businesses have:
- A remarkable idea that amazes and astounds us
- A clear target market that is well understood
- Strong competitive advantage
- An IP (intellectual property) based or or first to market play
- Great financial projections that demonstrate high growth potential
- A clear plan about how you intend to go about it
- A great leader with a great team or the ability to build a great team
We are open to ideas from any source and have great experience working with businesses in IT, web, publishing, digital media, SaaS, recruitment, mobile apps, financial products, FMCG, food and beverage, apparel and various technologies including nano, clean tech and bio-sciences.
In our experience, the entrepreneur behind the dream is just as important as the idea itself. Successful entrepreneurs are self-aware and willing to work on themselves.

Where will you be based?
You can choose where you base your business during incubation. You may set up off-site, with access to a hot desk in the Creative HQ office, in what we call “virtual incubation”. Or you may choose full on-site incubation, taking advantage of the range of services and facilities we offer companies in incubation. In the highly-entrepreneurial incubator environment, a commercial relationship is important to ensure that the services we offer are valued and tested by the client businesses we support. It also ensures the incubator’s activities are clearly aligned with the best outcome for the entrepreneur.
